DAY#12 - Progress Check #2
I took Mr. Scale out from his hiding spot in the garage and set him on the kitchen floor. I stepped on and (queue drumroll) I now weigh 348.4lbs. Another move in the right direction! My attitude is good right now. I had some cake last night and some ice cream too and contrary to my past belief, the world is still spinning. I feel under control and I am back on track.
For the record I left Mrs. Tape Measure in the drawer. I will get her out in a month. Today I am bit excited and yet a bit disappointed. This is the first time after 12 days of 'dieting' I have only lost 4.6lbs. I am excited cause just making simple changes have brought about weight loss and an overall feeling of well being. Disappointment in the fact that there is a long, long road ahead.
For comparison, a trip to the top of Mount Everest is 29,029 feet and if I were climbing it as of today I would be less than 1,000 feet up. Do not get me wrong I am happy, I just realize I am still at the foot of the mountain after my first ten days.
I did succeed in cutting down on my Diet Green Tea and am gonna continue consuming it at my reduced level. I drink a ton of water but still enjoy a swig of flavor throughout my day.
My goal for next week is to hold fast to the lifestyle changes I have made and head into the holiday weekend with a proper eating attitude. I am also planning on stepping up my changes after Easter is over. I will be taking a break from blogging tomorrow and we be back Monday.
