DAY#331 - Stevia glycerite Shakes ***UPDATE-I was wrong when I first wrote this i thought the extra froth & volume of my shake came from the clearlax. That was not the case. I came form the Stevia Glycerite. I stopped using the clearlax and just used stevia glycerite and the froth stays. regular liquid stevia did not do this. :)
I made an amusing discovery. I had been constipated for a few days so I bought some generic Miralax at Walmart. It is a synthetic fiber that absorbs water and pushes it through your intestinal tract. So it gets you going. And after talking to my doctor who says your body does not absorb cause it is fiber, I concluded it is fine to use in P2. I do think however since it absorbs water you may have a stall or a small weight gain for a day or so while it is in your body. But then again it too shall pass. :)
Those of you who know me, know I blend strawberries into smoothies daily. I use 5.5-6.0oz of frozen strawberries I buy at Costco, about 8-10oz of water and a few drops of stevia and blend. Somedays I add ice cubes, some days not. It depends. So I added a cap full of Clearlax to the mix and turned my blender on low power. And it whipped the mixture into a frothy cream. The clearlax once blended with my frozen strawberries becomes frothy and creamy, Quadruple YUM. I went from 14oz of liquid and berries to 32 oz. of strawberry cream. Gotta love it.
So since then I have become regular. :) And I have also fell in love with using the soluble fiber in my shakes. I have cut the recommended dosage down to 1/3 and measure just a little in the cap and still get good results. So my secret oddity of the day: Fiber in my shakes rocks my world. So if you are looking for something creamy it is the bomb. And for fun I made a small video so you can see it for yourself.
By the way, my new favorite form of stevia is Now Foods Stevia Glycerite It is thick like honey and has a honey taste to it. It is not in alcohol like the other stevia i used. So i kept the dropper bottles from my other stevia I like: SweetLeaf SteviaClear Liquid Stevia
and when they get empty I fill them just over half way with the glyrecite and half with water to make my own liquid stevia. This seems to strecth my stevia and is cheaper.
