DAY#82 - Progress Check #12
I now weigh 273lbs. Another 'good' move in the right direction! I am down 80lbs since I started and I am a very happy man! If you are a regular reader you will have noticed I reported that I weighed 273lbs on tuesday already. That is because my weight has not changed in 5 days. It is slightly frustrating to have the scale stall out day after day after seeing such huge moves in the right direction. And even though it is a slight let down that I do not see the scale moving I know it will. I have had two other similar stalls that have lasted 4-5 days each and then all of a sudden the next 2-3 days I dropped 2-3lbs a day.
Will it happen that way again? Only time will tell. For those of you starting this diet with me. Please know it is very encouraging in the beginning where you drop 10lbs the first week and have weight losses every day. Please take note after that you see to loose in steps. Loosing 1-3-lbs in a day or two then holding still for a few. Do not be discouraged you are loosing and you need to stay focused on the long term goal.
Now on the good news side of things even though the scale did not budge in huge ways this week as it has in the past. My measurements did. I keep track of them on fitday also. And without boring you with all of them, my waist is down 2 more inches just this week, my chest 1 3/4 and my hips 1. So it looks like my body is taking time off of fat reduction to reshape. That is fine by me, it means that those jean shorts I am hoping to fit into shortly are getting even closer to reality. Maybe that is why Dr. Simeons called this protocol Pounds and Inches. Cause when you aren't seeing the pounds you see the inches.
The last two days for me have been yucky. I got my first episode of gout that I have experienced this year. A nice fierce pain in my right ankle. It has kept me sitting for the past 2 days and sent me to the Dr. for some pain relief. I am sure the inflammation in my ankle and the pains meds. I am taking may be helping my body to hold water too. Here is hoping the gout goes away soon.
One other encouraging highlight of the week, according to emails and messages that people have sent me about a dozen people have started the HCG diet with me this week. And from initial reports people are doing good. One person sent me a note to say they are down 10lbs already. What great news.
