DAY#149 - ENERGY BABY!
I want to say I have tons of energy. WOW, My life has changed in some crazy ways since starting HCG and losing weight and I am blaming some of that on my extra energy. I now wake up in the morning raring to attack the day and that is something new for me.
Saturday I woke up around 7am. I looked out the window and I saw my Mennonite neighbor man already mowing his lawn. (they are so smart with use of cooler time during the sumer doing work early morning and mid evening.) So I figured it was time to get out and do some stuff. I weed whacked our big over grown jungle of a property, then strapped on a 4gal weed sprayer and sprayed weeds. Had to refill the sprayer and do it a second time. 4gals is like strapping an extra 32+ pounds to your back. I walked up and down our hilly property with that thing. I then cleaned the pool and after that I cleaned out the overhang/porch of our barn. I was dirty and a bit sweaty but I still had energy. w00t!
Most mornings I now wake up at 6am. This probably seems normal to most humans, but for me it is way out of character. I work from home and start at 9am most days. So this requires me to usually make sure I am out of bed at 8:57 at the earliest. I then have 3 minutes to go potty throw on a shirt and pair of shorts and walk down the stairs to my computer. I then sit lazily in my chair for hours wishing i wasn't awake. Now I am getting up at 6am, somedays I force myself to stay in bed for another hour. But once my feet hit the floor I am running. Today I did manage to stay in bed late but as soon as I was up I did a load of laundry, loaded the dishwasher, cleaned the kitchen, carried some things to our barn, sorted the freezer in our barn, unplugged our pool and moved stuff in our yard so my wife could mow, cleaned and set up my smoker to smoke some pork shoulder today, prepped my rub for my pork, made breakfast (i love you jay robb protein powder). Sat down at my computer with enough time to spare to write a blog entry after going through 100 emails. This probably doesn't seem like a lot for most people, but for me, a guy who used to consider breathing my major accomplishment in the morning, it is monumental.
Only in having the extra energy do I realize how cool it is to have it. I wouldn't I have ever been convinced of this a few months ago. For my friends out there who are wondering if loosing weight is worth it or maybe considering ditching a diet cause they are not loosing weight fast enough or the scale hasn't moved in a few days. Just keep on keeping on. Don't let your brain trick you into the easy way out. I am so freaking happy that I stayed the course and am fighting my mental demons. (that is another blog post someday). So I encourage you keep on working at it, extra energy might not be anything you want now, but once you have it you will be glad you stayed the course.
Now, if i can harness mine for the good of mankind. Perhaps I can buy some spandex and become super HCG man. Hope you have a great day!
