DAY#152 - Progress check #22
OK, sit down. I know this will come as a shocker but today is Saturday and I am doing my weekly progress check on the right day. Perhaps that is progress?
It has been 15 days since I started Phase 3 and I am doing great. I have had a few small hiccups along the way. Most notably constipation, which I have not really ever experienced in my life before and a small bout of the gout. Both caused me to gain about 1-2 pounds of weight until they passed. The constipation I cured with miralax rather quickly. And the gout which seems to make my body hold onto some extra water is gone. So I am 2/3 of the way through my 3 weeks of phase 3 and have been able to stay within 2lbs + or - of my final phase 2 weight. So far no correction days have been needed and I am still 1lb. under. I want to proclaim myself victorious but that will probably usher in a wild weight gain. :)
To be honest, I plan on doing phase 3 for 4 weeks. My wife questions my sanity since the protocol calls for 3, but my reasoning is I did an extra long phase 2 so a slightly longer phase 3 can't hurt. I am continuing to take my supplements for Phase 3, Standard Process Hypothalamus and Pancreatrophin PMG
. I do think they have helped me and I give them credit for my easy phase 3 so far. So thankful I knew about them.
This morning I had a Blueberry Robb(yes, I am now naming my shakes). Which is becoming my favorite breakfast drink of choice. I took 3oz of heavy cream, 5oz, water. 2 scoops of Jay Robb Vanilla Mix, 6.5oz of frozen blueberries, and about 7 ice cubes and stuck them in my blender. Heavenly! I am convinced my blender is the greatest ever. I bought a Blendtec blender. The ones that do those "will it blend' you tube videos. I got it for the family as a family Christmas present the other year so we could make smoothies etc. And I love it. It has pre-programmed settings for things like smoothies and ice cream. Unlike most blenders it spins at different speeds during its cycle allowing to churn up the ingredients and that makes all the difference. For my protein shakes I use the Smoothie setting then I go to the Ice Cream setting to finish it off. My shakes end up with the consistency in texture between whipped cream and ice cream and great tasting. The Blendtec blender was not cheap. But after burning out the motors on a handful of cheap blenders trying to make smoothies and crush ice, I realized that a real work horse was needed and this one will last. And all these programmable buttons really work well.
I hope your week has gone well too, thanks for listening!
